Vick Is Toast

Mark my words, Vick is done. He'll serve 18-36 months in the Federal Pen, then have to serve a suspension in the NFL (at least one year). By the time he's done, assuming he doesn't get a lifetime ban for gambling, he'll have withered down too much and will simply not be the player he once was. He'll also be a lightning rod for any team that decides to touch him after this.

Quite frankly, being an owner of two dogs (Shiba Inus) I don't feel one bit sorry for the scum bag. He's getting what he deserves, and he'll have to use his trademark speed to keep Buba from making him his biatch! As someone on the PR boards mentioned "Does this now make Marcus the good one?", or something to that effect. Classic.

So, it's time for the Joey Harrington show to begin in Atlanta. Should be fun picking him off, unless he turns into another Delhomme, that just haunts us every game. With Shockley also going down, the Falcons look to be dangerously thin at QB, and have other issues. It looks like it could be a real long season for the dirty birds.

I do agree that he is done. I also agree that he should serve his time in the pookie. My question to everyone is this...
Will we look at him and say "OK" you served your time and show us what you have learned?
As my wife said "Hope that he refreshes on his education from VT, because he will need to fall back on that for a job soon." Did he ever finish VT with a degree?
We can all agree that if he is not banned for life, he will re-enter the NFL when he is set free and there will be a team that will want to pick him up.

shiba inus huh? are your dogs a bit hyperactive by any chance?

my college roommate had a shiba inu which we affectionately named spaz 'cause he was all over the place. if it was ever possible for a dog to have ADD this dog has it. over all a nice breed though.

Christopher,

I even have a hard time believing that any NFL team will want to take a chance on him later down the road because of all the negative publicity they will get. PETA will probably picket any team that picks him up, and others I'm sure will join that cause.

He'll definitely need to brush up on his education in the pokey. Of course, he may have invested himself enough money to secure himself afterwards, but you never know what the law will extract from him on a monetary basis.

Ski,

My dogs are relatively calm. I have one that likes to play around a lot, but nothing like what you are describing. I can usually get them running up and down the hallways, which is always fun.

Overall, I really love the breed. They're great dogs who are loyal to their owners, yet they don't run around biting people. They are good with kids and generally friendly, though one of mine is really timid around other people. She howls like a hound dog when someone comes into our place, though, which is funny.
